32mo. 5.5" x 3.25". Mid Nineteeth century contemporary binding. Midnight blue/black fine morocco binding with raised bands - intricate & minute tulip and foliate gilt decoration between. Front & rear board with corner detail of similar nature. All edges gilt. Cream ribbed silk floral endpapers with double gilt lined turn ins with similar tulip & foliate corner decoration. Lightest wear to rear board o/w virtually no wear whatsoever. Internally complete and in the ownership of the same family since publication. Manuscript name of "Anne Robinson 1839" to a blank endpaper complete with two manuscript bible quotes - another old hand written quote neatly tipped in opposite & one more hand written quote on one of the last blank leaves. Loose leaf of hand written geneaological information starting with Anne 1839 through to "Mary Clare Malcom 1939" Internally slight marginalisation of the leading edge of the blank leaf with the geneaological info & some toning to this leaf. Hand collated and complete. Titlepage has a small mark top right corner & wear to bottom right corner o/w fresh and clean. A exquisite small binding of the highest exececution.
