First edition, first printing. 8vo. Mid green boards with gilt titles. Pictorial dustwrapper by Margaret Gordon. A very good copy with clean boards. Internally complete with some offsetting to endpapers. No inscriptions. The priceclipped very good dustwrapper has edgewear to extremities with a few short closed tears. A very uncommon title in first edition.
The first Wombles title which was made into an incredibly successful TV series in the 1970s. The Wombles live underground and collect things that untidy humans leave behind.
