First edition, first printing with 4pp of ads at rear. 8vo. Red boards with black titles. A very good copy with clean boards with no marks. Light edgewear only. Internally complete and clean. Set in New York and Connecticut involves a couple trying to retrieve their "perfect child" from the overbearing Mrs Porter to establish a normal family life; stuffed full of wonderful Wodehousian characters - the bossy aunt, a tetchy millionaire, a good natured boxer and an orotund English Butler.
